These earrings are made with cellulose acetate, a plant-based plastic made from a mix of cotton pulp and 100% acetic acid. Acetate is non-petroleum based, biodegradable, and Earth-friendly.
Because acetate contains cotton fibers, it has a lot of the same characteristics as cotton itself. It is exceptionally lightweight, yet extremely durable.
All of the pieces are rolled in Italian-style polishing barrels for 2-3 days and then hand polished to perfection for a beautiful marbled finish.
Posts are made with a 925 Sterling Silver.
